Our Purpose
House of Healing was born from a simple truth: healing begins at home.
During her time in college, Nonie was trying to figure out the impact she wanted to make in the world. During this quest for knowledge and self reflection, she felt a profound calling to “Defend the Family”. This calling led to an understanding that family is where we are shaped; where both love and pain leave their mark. Where our deepest wounds are often inflicted, but where we find the deepest healing as well.
House of Healing exists to help people come home – to themselves, to their truth, to a place of understanding and peace. With compassion and curiosity, we create space to explore, release, and reconnect. Healing is not just personal; it ripples outward; touching families, communities, and generations to come.
We believe that when one person grows into who they’re meant to be, they inspire those around them to do the same. And together, we come home.
Our Approach
H ow Healing Happens
At House of Healing, our approach to therapy is grounded in attachment science, relational systems, and culturally responsive care. Our work is built around these three principles.
Healing Happens
Within Yourself
True healing begins with understanding your inner world. Through therapy, you learn to recognize patterns, develop emotional awareness, and reconnect with the strength and wisdom that already exist within you.
Healing Happens
Within Your Relationships
The way we relate to others shapes how we experience life. By strengthening communication, rebuilding trust, and practicing relational repair, therapy helps create healthier and more secure connections.
Healing Happens
Within Your Story
Every person carries a unique story shaped by experiences, culture, and relationships. Therapy helps you make sense of your past, integrate your experiences, and move forward with clarity, purpose, and resilience.

H ealing Stories
Healing looks different for everyone, but the goal is always the same—greater clarity, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of peace. Here are a few reflections from individuals who have walked through the healing process at House of Healing.
Can I leave 10 stars?? I am not exaggerating when I say that Nonie saved my marriage. My husband and I had tried working with several therapists in the past, and nothing really clicked. We felt hopeless and like there wasn’t anything else we could do. Then I met Nonie and instantly got the sense that she was different. Working with her was the best thing we could have done for ourselves. Her methods were clear and effective, and suddenly everything we had been struggling with made sense and we were able to make real change and grow as a couple. There are very few people that I have met in my life who seem like they are doing what they are supposed to be doing, but Nonie is truly one of them. She is deeply passionate and committed to what she does, and I would recommend her to any couple; whether they are struggling or not.

My husband and I have been working with Nonie for over 3 years. We entered therapy feeling disconnected and constantly triggered by each other. Therapy is not comfortable, but Nonie remains calm, confident, and non-judgmental, which is so deeply healing. She is able to break down psychology in a way that is easy to understand and provides detailed steps to implement strategies into everyday life. Our work with Nonie healed our marriage. We’ve continued to see her well past our relationship improvement to continue to work on personal goals.
Compared to my work with previous therapists, Nonie has given me the most stability, perspective, and tools to improve my relationships with myself and others. I would highly recommend Nonie as a therapist.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Seeing a therapist was our last chance at saving our marriage and I am so happy that we found House of Healing. My husband and I have been seeing Nonie for almost 2 years now. Our relationship with each other, and with ourselves, has changed for the better.
Nonie has given us the tools to have a successful marriage, friendship, and love for one another. She has helped, and continues to help, us navigate through life and everything it throws at us. We are stronger now because of Nonie. We are so grateful to have found her and House of Healing. I would recommend House of Healing to anyone and everyone!

I worked with Nonie for about a year and can’t recommend her enough. She helped me understand where my expectations came from and whether they were still serving me.
She’s thoughtful, grounded, and really skilled at guiding conversations in a way that feels both compassionate and insightful.
I walked away with a better ability to question my assumptions, listen more openly, and recognize when I was acting against my own values. If you’re looking for a therapist who’s both kind and sharp, Nonie’s the real deal.

Nonie provides a safe environment to work through difficult emotions.

I have been to 8 different therapists over the years. I have never felt the trust I have in her. I don’t always like what I hear. But I have learned that being humble is a huge step in my healing. She doesn’t just talk to you she listens and guides. She’s not afraid to tell you what you need.
AS
I have more confidence in myself. I feel like I am finally putting myself first instead of everyone else and am able to speak up about things when I couldn’t before.
EB
I’m learning to confront my own thoughts and look at things more positively rather than constantly being negative, it’s definitely taking some work on my part but its bettering my overall self.

I came to Nonie feeling suicidal for months. I had been on medication for years to try to deal with it. After 3 months of working with Nonie I completely went off my medications, and have not felt any ounce of depression or suicidal ideation since. The work we did together was the most effective thing I have ever done for my life and I am immensely grateful for it.
PP
I went through the hardest year of my life when my wife divorced me. Nonie remained a consistent support to me each week in therapy. The times I was so ashamed I could hardly bare it, she welcomed me and provided the softest environment for me to heal. I have gotten through those times with her help and I have changed more in the past year than I ever have in my life thanks to her.
